Weekend in Pawleys Island

Only about an hour north from Charleston, you will find the quaint beach town of Pawleys Island, SC. It is a sleepy little water front town with all the charm and beach vibes you could ask for. Local shops, restaurants, golf courses and beach accesses line the main road and the simplicity helps remind you of the more simple things in life.

This past weekend we loaded up the car with our bags, picked up our sweet friends and headed to the most adorable condo on Pawleys Island for a mini weekend getaway. Friday night we order take out pizza from Piccolo Paesano, checked into Petite Palmetto and enjoyed each others company. I cannot recommend this beautiful, two bedroom, two bath rental enough. The condo was completely remodeled by Abroad + Abode with dΓ©cor and finishes that are absolutely stunning. It is also conveniently located on a beautiful golf community that is only an 8 minute drive to the beach. While we were lucky enough to be the 1st guests, anyone can now book a stay! Here is the link for the rental with more even more detailed information.

Saturday morning we took a leisurely walk around the property and then headed to The Hammock Shops Village for a delicious brunch at bisQit. I had the most amazing biscuit with fried chicken, bacon, cheese and gravy – a true southern meal! My husband, Gabe, ordered the breakfast tacos which were equally delicious. After brunch we strolled around to a few local shops and got truffles from their local candy shop, The Candy Cottage.

The weather was a bit cold so we opted for a drive up the coast to Myrtle Beach, stopping along the way at the Marsh Walk to scope out the local eateries and views of the water. Our next stop on our drive was at a beautiful, new build, community with a large town center and shopping district called The Market Common. We walked around the large outdoor shopping center, stopped into a few local boutiques and enjoyed a sweet treat at Peace, Love & Little Donuts. We finished the afternoon with a stop at the Tanger Outlets in Myrtle Beach.

After a little shopping we headed back to the condo to relax and freshen up before dinner. Only a 5 minute drive from the condo, we enjoyed the most delicious Italian dinner at Gios. If you are in Pawleys Island you cannot leave without eating here, we all had nothing but amazing things to say!

Sunday morning we packed up our bags and made a final stop on our way home at Parlor Doughnuts. Clearly we were passionate about doughnuts on this trip! haha Needless to say, we had a wonderful time in Pawleys Island and I would recommend a visit to anyone who has the opportunity. We have already started making a list of places to visit on our next trip up when the weather warms up! Happy travels friends.
