Southern Summer Cocktail

It’s 5 o’clock somewhere! There’s nothing better than an ice cold, refreshing drink to end your day. I recently stumbled upon the mint-fusion cocktail recipe from Tommy at ThePelicanStyle.com and I had to share! It is the perfect southern inspired drink for the summer. The original recipe calls for several local ingredients found in Charleston ( even better) but if you’re not local to the area you can still have a bit of the south with your own home ingredients!

Ingredients

Directions

  1. In saucepan, bring blackberries & honey to slow boil stirring frequently. Reduce heat to simmer, mashing blackberries as they soften to ensure they are fully mixed with the honey until a syrup has formed.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, muddle the juice of 1 lemon wedge, 2 mint leaves, and Dixie Southern Vodka.
  3. Add syrup in shaker and continue to mix.
  4. Add ginger ale and mix once again.
  5. Serve over ice and garnish with mint leaves and lemon.

No cocktail is complete without a fun glass and accessories to match which can all be found at SweetTeaHostess.com!
